New Boston Walmart shoppers better get in and out early Tuesday evening.

The retail store has announced that it will be closing its doors Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10:30 p.m. for system upgrades. The store will reopen Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6 a.m. for customers to shop once again.

“This is a system upgrade that they will need to cut the power for,” a store manager said. “They have been updating stores around us and need about six hours for the system to upgrade.”

Once the power is restored and the maintenance is complete customers will be able to return to shopping at 6 a.m.

“Customers don’t have to worry we are not closing for good, just to upgrade and doors will be back open tomorrow,” the manager said.

New Boston Walmart posted on their Facebook page they would be closing the store to let customers know about the overnight closing.

“New Boston Walmart will be closing tonight 2-25-2020 at 10:30 p.m. and reopen at 6:30 a.m. on 2-26-2020 due to necessary building maintenance. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause,” the post read.

As of 1:42 p.m.; the post had more than 265 shares.
