The Scioto County Commissioners met Thursday for their regularly scheduled meeting.

From the agenda commissioners accepted a memorandum of understanding between the Board of Commissioners, Scioto County Engineer, Morgan & Porter Township Board of Trustees regarding the joint purchasing program and communication from the sanitary engineer regarding certification of unpaid sewer rates and charges.

According to Commissioner Davis, the joint purchasing agreement has been successful in allowing the sharing of project and roadway improvement costs and maintenance across the county.

Commissioners also adopted a resolution allowing the county engineer to establish new weight limits for county & township bridges. Commissioners stated that this resolution will allow the county engineer to evaluate and update weight limits within the county as he sees necessary.

In other matters of business, commissioners approved requests for appropriation of funds, transfer of funds, requests to attend meetings, miscellaneous reports, and board minutes. The Scioto County Commissioners meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Scioto County Courthouse.
