Looks like it’s going to be a good weekend for ducks, as the National Weather Service out of Wilmington, Ohio is predicting rain and possible thunderstorms this weekend.
The Hazardous Weather Service out of Wilmington sent out the following prediction for Brown-Highland-Adams-Pike and Scioto Counties:
Several rounds of rain are expected Friday through Saturday. Heavy rain up to 1 to 2 inches will be possible, especially Saturday, which could cause areal and river flooding.
Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will be possible during the day Saturday. A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected Saturday evening. The line of storms is expected to bring the potential for some stronger wind gusts. Damaging wind will be possible with this line. After the passage of the line, there will also be the potential for additional wind gusts in excess of 40 mph Saturday night.
Temperatures are predicted to be warm, with Friday hitting 62 degrees and the high for Saturday predicted to reach 71 degrees.
Button up the hatches and perhaps prepare for a weekend in with the family to try to avoid what Mother Nature seems to have in store for Scioto County this weekend.
