Election day is just around the corner, and some important deadlines are approaching for Ohio Voters.
With this past Monday being the deadline to register to vote, absentee voting and early voting began Tuesday and will continue until November 5, the day before election day. While absentee ballots may be sent any time before the 5th, early voting will take place at the county board of elections office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10-12, 15-19, 22-26, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 29-Nov. 2. Additional weekend voting will be held on the final two Saturdays before the election from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Oct. 27, and Nov. 3 and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
Early Voting will conclude Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. While the deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Nov. 3 at noon, the absentee ballot postmark deadline is Nov. 4, with absentee ballots being accepted at the board of elections office until 7:30 p.m. on election night. On Nov. 6, general election day, polls open at 6:30 p.m and close at 7:30 p.m.
