The Sandhill IPPC is kicking off its stuff for their Turkey Campaign on Friday and Saturday, at 9:00 a.m.

Those involved say they need a helping hand, so they can do the work that they do for those in need.

They will be standing on the corners collecting donations in the form of non-perishable food and monetary donations. Pastor Gary Newman will be out on both days, dressed as a turkey, so you can’t miss him. The following items are still in need:

  • Canned Vegetables
  • Stuffing Mix
  • Gravy Mix
  • Any item to help feed families for Thanksgiving and Christmas

They have been blessed with 40,000 pounds of potatoes in November, that will not only be used for the boxes and pantry, but will also be shared with other local food pantries as well.

Anyone wishing to send a donation via mail, please send to P.O. Box 114, South Shore, Kentucky 41175.

For more information, call 740-821-0766.

If you see Newman out there Friday and Saturday, anything donated will help feed others who may not have a feast during the holidays.
