A portion of Ohio 73 was closed most of the day Monday after a logging truck overturned. The incident happened at around 8:27 a.m. Monday. An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokeswoman said the semi was completely across the roadway.

A wrecker from Gahm’s Wrecker Service responded to the scene to turn the truck back upright. A large amount of diesel fuel was spilled onto the roadway. Ohio Department of Transportation workers were called in to patch the road before it could be opened. Troopers reportedly cleared the scene at 1:56 p.m.

The OSHP did not have the name of the driver of the truck because the report was not on the premises at the Portsmouth Post headquarters late Monday afternoon.
