Nurse Practitioner Jeff Ramey joined motivational speaker and Notre Dame football legend Rudy Ruettiger, along with a select group of experts and professionals around the world, to co-write a book, “For The Win: The World’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals Reveal Their Blueprint to Help You Win at The Game of Life.”

On the day of release in April, “For The Win” reached best-seller status on Amazon, reaching as high as No. 3 in the direct marketing category, as well as placing No. 19 in sales and selling, and No. 66 in entrepreneurship. The information shared in Ramey’s chapter, “The P’s to Winning,” has helped the book reach optimal best-seller placement, and is expected to help readers gain similar success in their endeavors.

Book publisher CelebrityPress describes the book as an empowering narrative about Ruettiger, who has all the elements of winning that people admire and respect.

In showing the grit and determination needed to attend the University of Notre Dame and represent the Fighting Irish football team, Ruettiger endeared himself to us all, especially with his story depicted in the movie “Rudy.” In reading “For The Win,” you’ll put yourself into Ruettiger’s heroic shoes and imagine yourself as a game winner. For what Ruettiger had to overcome, he will lift you to a higher altitude in his relentless determination to succeed.

In addition, the experts in the book provide readers with other portals to success. While one of Ruettiger’s main characteristics was perseverance, other authors highlight different elements useful for achieving success, including preparation, mindset and risk, among others. These authors can help readers avoid the potholes and reach their own successes quicker with their guidance and advice.

After such a successful release, Ramey will be recognized by The National Academy of Best-Selling Authors, an organization that honors authors from many of the leading independent best-seller lists.

A portion of the royalties earned from “For The Win” will be given to Entrepreneurs International Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating awareness for charitable causes.

Ramey is a father, husband and entrepreneur. A former MVP during his professional baseball career, he has been a Nurse Practitioner for the past 12 years in Portsmouth. He’s been featured on countless media outlets, authored a previous book on baseball and also served as an adjunct professor at Ohio University. Ramey resides in Portsmouth with his wife, Lara, and his daughters, Olivia and Katie.
