Members of New Boston Eagles Aerie 2271 recently hosted Grand Worthy President (GWP) Tom McGrath and his wife, Peggy. The McGraths have been visiting various Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries through the northeastern U.S.

There are more than 1,440 Eagles Aeries throughout the U.S. and Canada, and one in The Philippines, all of which McGrath serves as Grand Worthy President.

Eagle members give nearly $10 million annually through their charity foundation. In 2008, Eagles pledged $25 million to create the Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa, which officially opened in 2014. Citing McGrath’s development of drugs to treat diabetes under the theme of “Bridge to the cure,” New Boston Eagles Worthy President Jeremy Rush presented GWP McGrath a check for $500 to assist in his cause. New Boston Eagles members wish him well with his campaign to cure diabetes.
