Main Street Portsmouth will host the 3rd historic Boneyfiddle Fall-O-Ween festival on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 with all events taking place in the historic Boneyfiddle area.

The Fall-O-Ween event is organized by the Main Street Portsmouth Promotions committee with the goal to bring people downtown into shops and on the streets. The event kicks off at Ghosts in the Attic 518 2nd Street with a kids and adults costume contest at 1 p.m.

“The Fall-O-Ween event draws a large crowd to the downtown area and introduces children to our part of downtown and what we have to offer,” Sharon Bender of Ghosts in the Attic said. “It’s a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon and we find it a joy to help host the event. Not only is it kid friendly but the Haunted Ghost Tour offers a more adult attraction for the evening hours.”

Throughout the day there will be activities such as Touch-A-Truck, hay rides, live music, food, and games. In the evening the Portsmouth Public Library is sponsoring an outdoor movie at 7:30 p.m. on the Market Street Square (near Market Street Hardware 217 Market Street) weather permitting.

Returning for the third year is the historic Boneyfiddle Haunted Ghost Tours. It’s your opportunity to take a look into the past of what lurks behind closed doors of the place you call home. Historic buildings and shops are included on the tour. The Haunted Ghost Tours will begin at 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Vanity Hair Salon 206 Market Street. Registration is required and tickets are $7.
