Time is running out to register to vote in the November election. According to a spokesperson at the Scioto County Board of Elections, Oct. 5, 2015 at 9 p.m. is the last day you can register for the upcoming election.

Absentee voting begins Oct. 6 for the election to be held on Nov. 3, 2015. Voting will take place each day, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day through Oct. 23, 2015.

The week of Oct. 26 the Board of Elections is open 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 31, they will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 1, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Ballots for military and overseas voters became available on Sept.19. Military voters who have not yet registered to vote or submitted a request for an absentee ballot may still do so by visiting OhioMilitaryVotes.com or OhioVoterPassport.com for overseas voters. There they can download the Federal Post Card Application, register to vote and request an absentee ballot, read through frequently asked questions, track the status of their mailed ballot and sign up for election reminders via email and social media. All voters can also contact their county board of elections directly for more information.

Secretary of State Jon Husted said to register to vote, update voting information, request an absentee ballot, find contact information for Ohio’s 88 county boards of elections or obtain more general information about the Nov. 3 General Election and how to participate, all Ohioans are encouraged to visit MyOhioVote.com.
