CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The inaugural Brass Festival is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 7 in the Gosser Fine Arts Center on the Campbellsville University campus.

Brass students from across Kentucky will have the opportunity to experience live brass performances and participate in brass master classes given by the Campbellsville University faculty and students, according to the Campbellsville University School of Music.

Two special guest artists – trumpeter Mary Bowden and trombonist Donna Parkes, both of Seraph Brass – will also teach master classes.

High school brass students will also have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a large brass ensemble during the Seraph Brass recital.

Two brass concerts will be at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Campbellsville Baptist Church. The admission fee is $5, which includes access to all activities and an entry into drawings for several door prizes.

Registration deadline for the Brass Festival is Sunday. Contact Dr. Anne McNamara, Campbellsville University professor of music, at akmcnamara@campbellsville.edu or 270-789-5187.
