Christy Clark was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer on April 10, 2015 at the age of 36. After 8 rounds of chemo and 48 rounds of radiation, Clark’s scans in June 2016 came back clear. In November 2016, Clark learned the cancer was back. This time, Clark underwent 38 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of chemo. In July, 2017 Clark’s scans once again came back clear. Due to the nature of her metastatic breast cancer, Clark must go once a month for maintenance treatment for the rest of her life.
Clark says her husband, children, and friends have been her biggest support system throughout her journey with breast cancer. She now spends her time traveling across the county, and living life to its fullest.
“I always tell people to get out and live, try not to let the depression sink in,” said Christy Clark. “You’re living, get out and enjoy life while you’re alive.”
