A Massachusetts fugitive has been released from the Scioto County Jail to Pike County authorities, and was extradited to Boxborough, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.

According to WWLP.com, Keven Blakemore, 21, is accused of committing a series of crimes in Massachusetts before allegedly kidnapping two people and driving to Ohio.

Todd Miller, Chief Deputy of the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office said Pike County Sheriff’s Office deputies picked Blakemore up on Wednesday and it is believed that U.S. Marshall’s were in Pike County to take possession of him for extradition. According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Blakemore was arrested in Pike County for having an outstanding warrant. Additionally he was charged with attempted escape and theft of a motor vehicle in an escape.

In Massachusetts he was to be arraigned Thursday on charges of attempted murder, aggravated rape, and kidnapping. WWLP.com reports Blakemore attacked a relative in a home, then raped a woman in that same home. He then allegedly kidnapped the two victims and drove them to Ohio where he was arrested by sheriff’s deputies after a standoff.
