Prayer is the focus for ‘Ohio 7:14 a Solemn Assembly of Prayer’ — Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. outside at the Ohio State Capitol, at 1 Capitol Square in Columbus. No speeches. No protests. No agenda, just prayer.

Ohio 7:14 a Solemn Assembly of Prayer originated from Pastor Tim Throckmorton, and Pastor J.C. Church who have engaged themselves, and committed to praying for the state of Ohio, as well as the United States of America.

“It is a prayer event, a solemn assembly of church leaders, and business leaders that are coming together to pray for specific topics pertaining to our state and our nation,” Throckmorton said. ” It is myself and Pastor J.C. Church who have organized this event. We are both just pastors who are not praying for any specific thing, mostly in the spirit of II Chronicles 7:14. Ohio 7:14 is the name of the event.”

II Chronicles 7:14 is a biblical passage of scripture which states, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I (God) will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

“This is God’s voice to his people, to the church, calling them to prayer. We believe that our land needs healing, and our nation, and our cultural, and we are seeking that from God,” he said.

They are expecting a tremendous turnout, with participants from different parts of the state.

“We have buses coming from all over the state. Buses will be coming from Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo,” he said. “We have pastors from all over the state, denominational leaders, and Christian businessmen who will be a part of the day as well.”

In the case of rain, the prayer gathering will be held inside of the State House Capitol atrium.

On their website, Throckmorton and Church have asked people to pray for the event. To pray that God will speak strongly to those gathered and through those gathered, to the state of Ohio, and the United States of America.

Additionally, they have extended an invitation of participation to all, and ask that each person bring someone with them. Lastly, is the request for people to encourage their own pastor and every church leader that they know come and support the gathering, and to share and promote the information social media outlets.
