Pedal Paddle Putt fundraiser set

RACELAND. Ky. — The Eastern Kentucky (EK) Bikeway will partner with The McConnell House to host the Pedal-Paddle-Putt on Saturday, Aug. 29. The event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at Raceland City Park.

Don Salmmons, of the EK Bikeway, said they are looking forward to the Pedal-Paddle-Putt event.

“This is going to be a nice event for the community. It is the Pedal-Paddle-Putt event to be held tomorrow,” Salmmons said. “This is a fundraiser, and we are going to split the proceeds between the Bikeway and the McConnell House. The event will start at the trail head at Greenup Avenue and Pond Run, participates will have to have to pay the $30 entry fee, and participants will a choice of any route they want to ride, or any combination of the bicycle routes.”

For the $30 entry fee participants will get to pick from the green, orange or maroon route, tour the McConnell House and be treated to watermelon, take a hour kayake trip on the Little Sandy River at Dragon Fly Ventures, play a game of putt-putt golf at Pirates Partee and enjoy a barbecue lunch at the Raceland City Park.
