The Village of New Boston invites the public to come out for the annual community-wide yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 3. Mayor William Williams explained that the day allows New Boston residents a free yard sale day during which permits will not be needed.
The New Boston community-wide yard sale first started more than a decade ago as a way to encourage residents to clean up the community and their properties a bit while also giving them a chance to attract their neighbors out for a visit to the Village. The annual event provides a great way for New Boston residents to clean out their garages, attics and closets while also making a little bit of money off of their unwanted items. However, it is also a way to show off a bit and take some pride in the Village’s scenic setting and thriving businesses.
In addition to yard sales throughout the community, there will be various vendors and concessions. Williams added that food vendors and concessions suppliers are encouraged to come out and set up.
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the Village and do some antiquing and dining,” Williams commented.
New Boston’s various eateries are also excited to welcome residents and visitors. New Boston offers various types of dining including everything from local hamburgers from Hickies to authentic Mexican from Casa Grande.
The Village urges everyone to come out and enjoy the spring day finding some deals and treasures while also seeing all that New Boston has to offer.
