A raid on a Portsmouth residence has resulted in five people being arrested. Roger A. Jones, 62, of 1670 Third St., Portsmouth; Anthony L. Lewis, 36, of High Street, Portsmouth, April D. Blair, 33, of Dexter Avenue, Portsmouth; Eric J. Henderson, 27, of Prime Rose Trail, Columbus, Ohio and Dustin L. Payne, 28, of South Weyant Avenue, Columbus, Ohio were arrested and charged with possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree.
According to the report, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at approximately 9:33 p.m., the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, with assistance from detectives and officers with the Portsmouth Police Department, detectives with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, and investigators with the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office, executed a narcotics-related search warrant at Jones’ residence, where they reportedly seized approximately 13 grams of suspected powder and crack cocaine, along with additional evidence suspected of being related to drug trafficking.
All who were arrested were placed in the Scioto County Jail and were scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
The case will reportedly be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of additional felony drug-related charges.
