NEW BOSTON — Scioto Health Plan is proud to announce that area school employees and their dependents covered by Scioto Health Plan will soon be offered the opportunity to access a new primary and preventive health care facility. A ribbon cutting for the facility – to be known as “Care Here – Serving Scioto Advantage Members” – will be held this summer to celebrate its opening.
Care Here is the launch of a collaborative partnership by Scioto Advantage, LLC and Tennessee-based industry pioneer and innovator in on-site health care, CareHere, LLC.
Scioto Health Plan — a division of Optimal Health Initiatives — is a not-for-profit health plan, currently self-funding medical and dental coverage for the benefit of 10 southeast Ohio school districts and the Educational Service Center. Its mission continues to be able to provide employees and their families the most competitive and cost effective benefits possible. To that cause, the new Care Here facility will offer primary care services with no co-payments, no deductibles, and no costs for on-site generic medications. This type of cost savings is an obvious benefit to employees and their families.
“The partnership between Scioto Advantage, LLC and CareHere, LLC is one that will be extremely beneficial to our employees and families covered under our Scioto Health Plan,” said South Central Ohio Educational Service Center Superintendent Sandy Mers. “I am so excited to be part of this groundbreaking adventure and to be able to offer such an extraordinary benefit to our employees.”
CareHere, LLC will oversee and manage the operations of the facilities. Patients can schedule appointments online or over the phone. Appointments are never double-booked, so there is little or no wait time, enabling patients to be served quickly, feel better fast, and get back to work quickly. CareHere, LLC abides by all federal HIPPA and confidentiality regulations. Patient’s records are private and secure and never shared with the employer or anyone else without their direction.
“CareHere, LLC is honored to have been chosen by Scioto Advantage, LLC as their partner in providing their employees with quality, cost-effective health care. Our providers and wellness coaches are committed to the care of each of our patients by spending quality time with them in order to provide the optimal service with enthusiasm and compassion.” stated Ben Baker, CareHere, LLC Co-founder, and COO.
Perhaps just as important as the convenience and cost savings for employees, this innovative model has a proven track record of a significant reduction of the employer’s overall health care dollars spent — an important savings for the taxpayers supporting area schools.
The Care Here facility will open this summer, located within the South Central Ohio ESC Business Center (formerly Daymar College) on Rhodes Avenue, in New Boston. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will be announced before the opening.
Recruiting for positions for the health center team has just kicked off. CareHere, LLC plans to hire for at least four positions for the launch of the facility. Qualified MD, Nurse Practitioner, and nursing staff applicants can find out more about the opportunities and apply online at www.CareHere.com/careers or by e-mailing CareHere’s VP of Recruitment & Provider Relations JeNelle Gouvas at email@example.com.
