The Vern Riffe Center for the Arts announced the Sharee Wilson will be replacing Charlene Tilton in the upcoming performance of Driving Miss Daisy playing at 7:30 p.m. on Tues., May 2.
The producers of Driving Miss Daisy informed the VRCFA that Tilton has departed from the production after being offered a movie role. Joining television star, Clarence Gilyard will be long-time friend, Wilson, who performed alongside Gilyard for eight seasons on the TV show, Walker, Texas Ranger.
In addition, Gilyard and Wilson have performed Driving Miss Daisy over the course of several years. Wilson will play Miss Daisy and Gilyard will portray her driver, Hoke.
Gilyard is best known for his role as Jimmy Trivette on Walker, Texas Ranger and as Conrad McMasters on Matlock. He has also been in CHiPs, Die Hard, Top Gun, Karate Kid – Part II.
Wilson is best known for her role as April Stevens on Dallas and as Assistant District Attorney, Alex Cahill, on Walker, Texas Ranger.
Tickets are $40 for general public, $35 for seniors, $30 for SSU students and $20 for children the age of 12 and under. Upper Tier prices are available at a discounted price.
