WHAT IS YOUR FONDEST COOKING MEMORY? Wirty—I remember helping Mom cook Thanksgiving dinner. I always went to my moms the night before Thanksgiving and helped her prep. Sean—I have great memories of hosting my first Memorial Day cookout. I cooked my first brisket on the grill for the family. I was a successful 9 hour smoked brisket that everyone loved.

HOW LONG HAVE YOUR LIVED/WORKED IN THE COMMUNITY? Wirty has been in the area for 41 years and Sean was born and raised here.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOD? Wirty—Lasagna and pizza are my favorites. Sean—I really don’t have one favorite food, as long as it tastes good, I like it.

WHAT OR WHO INSPIRES YOU TO DO GOOD, AND WHY? Wirty—My upbringing and my family encourage me to do good. My mom and dad always pushed the idea of helping people. Sean—My parents for sure, they raised me to be who I am today. They’ve always exemplified being helpful to those around us that need it, and I do my best to live up to their example.

WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A PART OF THE CELEBRITY CHEF DINNER? Wirty—We’ve always been community minded and I feel like this is a good program. Sean—I love the idea of participating and be being part of the cause. We always enjoy helping the community and participating in the wonderful events our community has to offer.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT APPETIZER YOU WILL BE MAKING AND IF SO, WHAT IS IT? We’ll be making pork meatballs with our famous Portsmouth Pizzeria pizza sauce. This is one taste of Italy you can’t miss.
