Narcotics officers have confiscated 45 grams of suspected heroin and over $1,700 cash in the arrest of six people on Thursday. Colin D. Fisher, 34; Michael A. Lewis Jr., 36; Tony Larry Lee Nicholson, 37; Jeremiah L. Hudson, 37; and Miracle Da Shae Brown-Cook, 23, all of Dayton, Ohio, along with 19-year-old Joseph Robert Rich of West Portsmouth, Ohio, were charged with trafficking in drugs, a felony of the first degree, possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree, and possession of criminal tools, a felony of the fifth degree. Lewis was additionally charged with tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree, and Brown-Cook had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for the offenses of assault and robbery that had been issued in Montgomery County, Ohio.
Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware and Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said around 1:50 p.m., Thursday, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, with assistance from detectives and officers with the Portsmouth Police Department, executed a narcotics-related search warrant at 1426 1/2 Park Ave., Portsmouth.
Detectives seized approximately 45 grams of suspected heroin, over $1,700 cash, and additional evidence related to drug trafficking.
All arrestees were placed in the Scioto County Jail and were arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday at 9 a.m.
The case will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for the consideration of additional felony drug-related charges. Additional arrests are expected to be made.
