The Daily Times and Community Common are happy to announce new hire, Tausha Caldwell-Shreck.
Hope Comer, Publisher of the newspapers, welcomed Shreck to the team as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) on Dec. 15, 2016.
Shreck graduated from Valley High School in 1994 and joined the work force shortly after.
Prior to working at the Times, Shreck lived in Waverly and worked at Mills Pride and Kenworth. Shreck realized she was unhappy living and working in Waverly. She decided to move back to her home town of Lucasville and discover a new career path.
“I saw the ad in the paper for the job posting and I thought to myself, ‘that’s something that I’d really like to do,’ I used to have a blogging page, but between my family, work and everything else that goes on I didn’t write as many stories as I wanted to.”
As a customer service representative, Shreck is responsible for resolving customer concerns regarding delivery, subscription management and billing, in addition to placing classified advertising.
Comer said, “Tausha showed an excitement about the opportunity to work as part of our sales team.” Comer added, “She started suggesting accounts she could target, and I knew she was a fit for us.”
Outside of work, Shreck is a mother to two teenage daughters and is involved with the American Legion Auxillary based in Lucasville. She is also an avid supporter of cancer research.
“I lost my mom to cancer, it was a year ago October 29. After she passed, my best friends and I started a team called (Cure)ageous ones, we started it to help raise money for Relay for Life. We sell candy bars to help raise money and we also do a number of other fundraisers throughout the year.”
So far, Shreck has enjoyed working at the Daily Times and says she looks forward to developing relationships with her customers and the community.
