A Scioto County man is being held in the Scioto County Jail on $50,000 bond after being arrested. Albert Meadows Crabtree, 42, of 84 Johnson St., McDermott, has been charged with one count of burglary, a felony of the second degree.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said his office received a call on Wednesday Dec. 7, 2016 from a residence located on McDermott Pond Creek stating that someone had broken into the house while they were at work and told investigators the person who broke into his house stole a 42-inch flat screen TV.
Donini said a deputy responded to that location where a report was taken and forwarded to detectives for a further investigation.
During the investigation detectives were able to identify a possible suspect. On Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016, detectives were out looking for the suspect. That suspect was Albert Meadows Crabtree. While going through the intersection of Pollock Road and Colley Road they said they observed the suspect driving and were able to make a traffic stop that resulted in the suspect being arrested without incident.
