Mammography services at Bon Secours Kentucky Health System (BSKHS) were recently surveyed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), revealing 25 consecutive years of flawless survey marks, according to reports from Kevin Compton, communications specialist at BSKHS.
The successful survey was conducted on the mammography services at the Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) Women’s Center. The flawless survey marks the 25th straight year of perfect results from the FDA for the mammography services provided at OLBH. Compton attributes the continued success to staff members of OLBH.
“The staff members of the OLBH Women’s Center are dedicated to female health, and this remarkable string of FDA surveys is testament to that dedication,” Compton said.
The recent FDA survey produced neither deficiencies nor any recommendations for the mammography program of the OLBH Women’s Center. An extensive review of the program’s documentation and qualifications of its radiologists, technologists, physicists and equipment functions are undergone during the survey, according to OLBH.
Terri Hannon, director of OLBH Women’s Center Radiology, said their staff provides superior mammography services.
“It is a great achievement to manage a quarter century of straight flawless surveys,” Hannon said. “I would like to thank Beth Wilson and her staff at the OLBH Women’s Center. Beth has overseen all 25 years of surveys. The staff is second to none when it comes to providing mammography services to the women of our area.”
