Scioto County Sheriff Marty V Donini announces that The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office along with The Ohio State Fire Marshalls Office has been investigating a B&E and Arson of a Garage on Great Meadow Rd. that occurred on November 28, 2016 in South Webster, Ohio.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call on November 28, 2016 from a resident at 433 Great Meadow Rd. stating that his garage was on fire. Bloom Township Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.
On December 2, 2016 the victim had discovered that several items were missing from his garage. Detectives were able to check local pawn shops and discovered that items from the garage had been sold to the pawn shop.
On December 4, 2016 detectives were able to locate and question both suspects, which resulted in the arrest of Darold A. Fraley, 22, of Garrison, Kentucky along with a juvenile.
Darold A. Fraley was charged with Breaking and Entering a felony of the fifth degree, Arson a felony of the third degree, and Receiving Stolen Property a felony of the fifth degree. Fraley is being held in the Scioto County Jail on a $18,800.00 bond and will be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court. The juvenile was transported to South Central Ohio Regional Juvenile Detention Center, in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was charged with Breaking and Entering a felony of the fifth degree, Arson a felony of the third degree, and Receiving Stolen Property a felony of the fifth degree. The juvenile was to be arraigned in juvenile court on Monday December 5, 2016. Additional charges will be presented to the Scioto County Grand Jury at a later date.
