Two men and one woman from Scioto County have been convicted and sentenced on federal drugs and weapons charges.
On Sept. 27th, 2016, 38-year-old Michael E. Green aka “Money,” formerly of South Preston Street, Wheelersburg, Ohio and Michael J. Mason, 34, of Burkes Lane Wheelersburg, Ohio were sentenced in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio, to serve time in federal prison.
Green was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin in excess of one kilogram and sentenced to serve a 15-year-prison sentence followed by 10 years of supervised release, while Mason was convicted of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and sentenced to serve a 26 month prison sentence followed by three years of supervised release.
Earlier this year, Dawnielle Nicole Bravo, 36, of Grandview Avenue, Portsmouth was convicted of making a false statement to a licensed firearm dealer to acquire or attempt to acquire a firearm and was sentenced to serve three years of supervised released.
The case involving Green, Mason, and Bravo was initiated and investigated by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, which consists of narcotics detectives with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, the Portsmouth Police Department, and agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Authorities said heroin, multiple firearms, and ammunition were seized in the case.
