GRAYSON, Ky. — The Grayson Gallery & Art Center (GGAC) in partnership with the Carter County Arts, Beautification and Culture Committee, will be hosting the GGAC’s final arts event of 2016 as a continuation of the series of Second Saturday Music & Art presentations.
In addition to musical entertainment to enjoy, Dan Click, director of GGAC, said participants may also bring items to buy, sell or trade to the Second Saturday event.
“As we wrap up the busy year with another Second Saturday music and art event at the Grayson Gallery, it will also be a festive and fun evening with the “swap meet” planned for musicians and collectors,” Click said. ” Along with enjoying the free show by the talented performers, gallery visitors are invited to bring spare parts, equipment and instruments to buy, sell or trade and to check out the GGAC Artist Market for buying local to support the arts.”
This will be GGAC’s first time to offer the ‘guitar-and-parts swap meet,’ which will be held in the main gallery. Click said musicians and collectors are encouraged to bring spare instrument and sound related items, musical instruments, equipment and accessories to sell and trade.
“Our doors will open at 5 p.m. and festivities will continue through 10 p.m. for this free, though donations and tips are greatly appreciated,” he said. “The event will also feature a lineup of regional musicians including Hye Water, Mark Cole, Men In Blue, Bonnie & Shannon and many more.”
The Gallery’s Artist Market will also be open with original art for sale. Refreshments by friends of the Gallery.
