“Portstock” coming to town

Final Friday in Boneyfiddle will present “Portstock” on Friday, June 30th, in the historic district of Boneyfiddle. This free celebration of peace and love will begin at 5:15 PM and will include live music by David Packard, Holly and The Guy, The Sugarbeats, and The Settlement. The music generally ends around 9:30 PM.

“This is a celebration of all things Woodstock,” Final Friday spokesperson, Dot Flanagan, said.

Final Friday in Boneyfiddle is in its third season of presenting outstanding local and regional musical entertainment.

“Our crowds have been growing every month,” said Flanagan.

This will the first time the event will be held on the grass lot located on the corner of Second and Market Streets. Market Street, heading to Second, will be closed off to accommodate vendors and artists. Free off-street-parking will be available at Kelley’s Carpet on the corner of Market and Third.

The concert is open to the public and is billed as a family friendly event. People are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Many merchants will stay open late for your shopping pleasure as well as there will various kinds of vendors within the event. Final Friday events are staged by The Boneyfiddle Project Committee and the non-profit Boneyfiddle Project.
