Just as God enlarges the capacity of a single kidney to do the work of two kidneys when one is removed, so God will enlarge your capacity to carry a load you never thought you could handle, if you go to Him consistently for His sustaining grace. Isaiah 46:3-4 says, “I have upheld you since you were conceived and have carried you since your birth. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” Now, that is a promise of Heaven’s support that is without loopholes, without interruption and without limit. After all is said and done, you can carry someone else because someone stronger is carrying you.

That reminds me of the words for an old Gospel song. “When we have exhausted our store of endurance, when our strength has failed ere the day is half done; when we’ve reached the end our hoarded resources, our Father’s full giving has only begun. His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power has no boundary known unto men; for out of His infinite riches in Jesus, He giveth and giveth and giveth again.”

A flawless plan, a leader who carries it out without explaining it, and an amazing outcome when the plan comes together. Whoa, that’s more than a scenario for some fictional TV show; it is our God at work. Brothers and sisters, our God never sleeps. In fact, He works the night shift. The night shift is the time when trials and tribulation fall on those who trust Him. It may well be exactly what is playing out in your life right now. God is working out an incredible plan for your life. He guarantees us in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Right now, the issues and questions in your life may seem totally overwhelming to you, therefore, it is hard for you to see where this is all going. You cannot see how it can all possibly work out, but remember He can. Put your trust in the One who created you. Lift your head up today and meet every challenge with a can-do attitude, because you know the one who can do is with you.
