Community of Christ

Community of Christ 2237 Russell Avenue West Portsmouth will be led in their 10:30 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday July 30 by Elder Wayne Allen. Wayne will develop the weekly World Church theme of “The Kingdom of Heaven Is Like…” Priest Luanne Day will present the musical selections and Elder Ed Crabtree will lead the youth. Saints Study will begin at 9:30 AM with Elder Kathy Deemer leading the study. On Wednesday August 2 there will be a BBQ Sandwich Fundraiser at the branch from 11 AM – 7 PM. All Saints’ Church

The community is warmly invited to worship with All Saints’ Church. On Sunday, we gather for Communion at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Christians of every denomination are welcome to receive communion in the Episcopal Church.

All Saints’ is located at the corner of 4th and Court Streets in Portsmouth.

First Church of Christ

There will be a carry-in covered dish dinner after the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday, July 30, at the First Church of Christ, 1224 Dogwood Ridge Road, Wheelersburg. The congregation will be thanking Rase and Terri Martin for their service with the congregation for the past three years. Rase Martin will be taking over the executive director position of KYOWVA Evangelistic Association, which is located in Ironton.

The goals of KYOWVA are to plant new churches in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, to assist Restoration Movement congregations in any way it can, to extend scholarships to men studying for preaching minister, and to offer Bible studies to churches and individuals for evangelizing and building up.

Rase Martin will teach Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and he will preach during the worship service at 10:30 a.m.

The 5th Sunday Singspiration will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Central Church of Christ, 1211 Grandview Ave. The 6 p.m. worship service will be canceled at First Church of Christ, so they can attend the Singspiration. If you would like to carpool, please be on the First Church’s parking lot by 5:25 p.m.

Ladies will meet for Bible study at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, and all ladies are invited to join us to study the Bible.

Praise, prayer and Bible study will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, and they will begin a study of Matthew.

St. John Lutheran Church

St. John Lutheran Church invites you to come worship with us. We are located at 5600 Junior Furnace / Powellsville Road, Franklin Furnace, Oh. Coles Blvd. First Church of God

Pastor Chad Benner and the congregation of Coles Blvd. First Church Of God, located at 1300 Coles Blvd., would love for you to come and worship with them.

Sunday, July 30, 10:30 a.m. – Morning Worship with Pastor Chad bringing the message from God’s Word. An interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing is available at all services. Following Morning Worship there will be a Spaghetti Dinner with donations going to the Fire Youth Ministry.

Sunday, July 30, 6 p.m. – Evening Worship with Pastor Chad bringing the message from God’s Word.

Tuesday, August 1, 3 – 5 p.m. – Tracy Park Ministry

Wednesday, August 2, 6 p.m. – Bible Study with Pastor Chad continuing the study in the book of First Thessalonians.

North Moreland Christian Baptist Church

Central Church of Christ

Central Church of Christ, 1211 Grandview Avenue, Portsmouth, will be hosting Bryan and Yvonne Hutson, Sunday, July 30, during the 10:30 a.m. worship assembly.

Bryan & Yvonne are founders of “Rescue Me Ministries”, a ministry dedicated to strengthening, encouraging, and challenging couples to fight for their marriage and family. They are both gifted speakers and vocalists who are committed to sharing the love of Christ through song, word, and personal testimony.

Bryan has ministered with some of the biggest names in gospel music including “The Heartland Quartet”, “The Blackwoods”, “The Kingsmen Quartet”, and most recently “Soul’d Out.”

Yvonne grew up in West Virginia as a preacher’s kid. She is a dynamic and down to earth conference speaker and relates to women of all ages. Her passion is for young women who need mentoring.

They will be sharing their talent and their ministry this Sunday morning, July 30, at 10:30.
