With that, the group is accepting vendor applications for the farmers market they host on the esplanade May through October.

WAPAKONETA — Travelers searching for a place to experience the total solar eclipse should look no further than Wapakoneta, birthplace of Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Local schools changing schedules for Monday’s eclipse

Monday’s eclipse will be the first total solar eclipse in more than 200 years, the last time being in 1806. Many schools across the area of totality will have scheduling changes to allow people to witness the once-in-a-lifetime event.

Local Autism support group letting their light shine this April

PORTSMOUTH- April is Autism Acceptance Month! To commemorate, the Autism Project of Southern Ohio will be holding their third annual “Celebrate Autism Acceptance Month” event on Saturday, April 6 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at Adam’s Flying Pig Coffee House in Wheelersburg. There will be several local providers and community members with information and free sensory activities, including Scioto County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Compass Community Health, Piece by Piece Learning Center, Kidz Connect Therapy, Spectrum Care, Scioto Residential Services, Royal Occasions Characters and Events, and more.
