Hello! In the kitchen with Sharon this week is my good friend Lesley Lightner with this delicious chicken and biscuits casserole. I am going to make this this week. It looks so good.

Today’s review will be a little different. We’ve been watching films together for 4 years. The review formula is pretty cut and dry for me. I will give you some random movie trivia I know or learned. I discuss the film or actors’ histories. We then dive into a mini summary, and you get the score. That won’t change. However, there are some weeks where I want to add a different context. This is one of those weeks.

Have you ever hiked the Appalachian Trail or one like it? One of the great pleasures is to enjoy a walk in the woods and fields without having to stumble through the brush or worry about what’s underfoot. You can move quietly through nature, enjoying the wildlife around you. Those of you with natural areas on your own property probably would enjoy it more if you had nice trails to walk on year round.

In the kitchen this week we are making pizza casserole. Are you having company for the Fourth of July? This will be perfect. You can make two if you are having lots of people over. Who needs to buy pizza when you can have this delicious pizza casserole only using one pan, and can make the night before and leftovers are great.

It’s common to ask kids to stop “playing with their food,” however, when playtime rolls around, food and fun go hand in hand.

Sorry, still no Fast X. However, as Summer opens I wanted to rerelease one of my favorite films of last year. If you’re a new reader. Enjoy! If you’ve not seen this yet…..Go. Run. Get this movie!!

Hello! In the kitchen this week we are making a peanut butter crunch cake. Thank you, Patricia Nichols. Since I can’t eat peanuts, I will use a substitute. I will put some pecans in.

Happy Saturday! I have some good news and bad news for you. The bad news…. we will not be reviewing Fast X this week. I know, I said we would, but we have so many movies! We have one slot! I promise at some point I will. For family. However, this week is exciting too! We are back into the Marvel universe!!! We have Spiderman. You’re thinking ANOTHER spiderman movie? Stay with me. This is an animated film. No, not a kids cartoon. The first film Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse came out in 2018. It is considered one of the best superhero movies ever made. The visuals were a blend of computer animated and hand-drawn comic book style animations. This made the first film truly feel like you were watching a comic book come to life. I had never seen anything like it before. Truly cutting new clothe in a world of lackluster animation. Also, that CAST! One of my person favorite actors is named Jake Johnson. Many of you will know that name for a tv show called New Girl. He’s so funny and the self-deprecating humor is hilarious! In this film series he’s a version Spider-man but Peter B. Parker. Imagine a Spider-man who has crippling depressing. Someone who lost Mary Jane (his love) and eats too much pizza. He is the reluctant mentor in the first film. The sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was said to be bigger, and even better, a game-changer again for the animation format. Would it be?

Last weekend, I ventured out to Otway to participate in the Friends of Scioto Brush Creek sweep, where we spent the day in canoes, paddling two miles downstream to collect trash and litter.
