The Minford Lady Falcons defeated the Notre Dame Lady Titans in softball 2-0 Tuesday night.
Ariel Kingery got the win for Minford, pitching a complete game shutout. Kingery pitched all seven innings allowing only five hits and walking three batters. The junior pitcher also struck out seven of the 29 batters she faced.
Zoe Doll led Minford in hits against the Lady Titans, going 3-3 from the plate, while driving in one run.
Kingery helped her own cause by picking up a pair of hits, going 2-3 on the night. She had one RBI, scored once, and hit a double.
Maggie Whitman received the loss, as she was the pitcher of record for Notre Dame. Whitman went through six innings of work, allowing two runs, both earned, from nine hits. She did not issue any walks and struck out three Lady Falcons.
