West blanks South Webster, 10-0

The Portsmouth West Lady Senators soundly defeated their SOC II foe, the South Webster Lady Jeeps Wednesday evening at the Portsmouth West softball field. The Lady Senators shutout the Lady Jeeps with a 10-0 victory, that went six innings.

Taylor Coleman walked away with a win for the Lady Senators. She pitched all six innings, allowing only two hits the entire game. She issued no walks, and struck out one South Webster batter.

Kayleigh Coleman led the Lady Senators in hitting, going 3-4 from the plate, and scoring three times, while driving in one run.

Four other West players had two hits on the night, Hannah Mayberry, Terra Butcher, Kelsie Callihan, and Taylor Coleman.

Hadinger and Hanes were responsible for the two South Webster hits on the night.

Both teams will be back in action against each other on Friday evening in South Webster. First pitch has been set for 5:00 p.m.
