The West Senators picked up a couple of victories Saturday to being their season. West beat West Union 12-0 in five innings, which was manager Chris Rapp’s 300th career victory, before beat Green 10-2 in the second contest.
Patrick Bays picked up the win over West Union, recording seven strikeouts in the process. Cody Wilshire led the Senator offense, going 4-for-4 with two doubles. West collected 23 hits in the first game.
Freshman Garrett Hurd went 3-for-4 with a double. Cody Finley also went 3-for-4.
In the second game, West trailed 2-0 after the first inning but scored 10 unanswered runs to be Green.
Tre Patrick went 3-for-4 while Austin Opperman collected two hits in two attempts.
