Two vehicle crash injures two

A vehicle Portsmouth Police say made an improper turn was struck and overturned Saturday night resulting in injury to two people.

Portsmouth Police officer Jason Hedrick said a Mercury mariner driven by Susan Dunsmoor was traveling on Waller Street at around 9:07 p.m. when she made an improper turn onto Kinney’s Lane and was struck by a Dodge Avenger driven by Teresa Lewis.

Hedrick said the result was that the Mariner was flipped on its top.

Susan Dunsmoor suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported by Life Medical Transport to Southern Ohio Medical Center as was a passenger in her vehicle, Eric Carr. He too was transported by Life to SOMC with what was described as “incapacitating injuries.”

Dunsmoor was cited for making an improper left turn.

Emergency responders arrived quickly on the scene of the crash.
