RUSSELL, Ky. — According to reports from Fivco Area Drug Enforcement Task Force (F.A.D.E.) on Dec. 1, agents from F.A.D.E. the raided the home of a Russel, Ky. woman. Reports reveal that a raid came after an undercover investigation by F.A.D.E. resulting in controlled buys of narcotics from said residence.
Authorities said that an estimated 200 grams of heroin was seized in the raid along with an undisclosed amount of currency. Carley Fannin, 25 of Russell, Ky., and Joseph “D” Briggs from Farming Hills, Mich. were arrested in connection.
According to reports, Fannin has been charged with two counts of trafficking and Briggs with importing heroin, trafficking and possession of marijuana. Fannin and Briggs were arrested and transported to the Greenup County Detention Center.
F.A.D.E. was assisted by Russell Police, Raceland Police and Greenup County Constable.
F.A.D.E Detectives continue to investigate and further charges are pending. Detectives encourage the public to contact them anonymously at 606-836-0442 about any illegal drug activity in Greenup, Carter and Lewis Counties.
F.A.D.E Drug Task Force operates in Greenup, Carter and Lewis Counties and is compromised of officers from the Flatwoods, Russell, Raceland, Vanceburg, Grayson & Olive Hill Police Depts., and the Carter County Sheriff’s Office.
