On Tuesday evening, all of South Webster’s offense came in the first 13 minutes of the match. Fortunately, it proved to be more than enough.

The Jeeps downed Zane Trace 3-0 at South Webster High School on the back of their sixth shutout of the season.

Shane Zimmerman got South Webster started, scoring a goal on his first shot off the crossbar via a pass from Samuel Holstein just four minutes into the first half. Less than ten minutes later, Zimmerman scored again after he cleaned up a rebound.

Just a minute later, Blake Fulk made it a three-goal lead after taking a cross from Shiloah Blevins.

“Once again we seemed to click in the first half,” South Webster coach Corey Claxon said.

As the game progressed, Zane Trace tried to push play near the Jeep goal, but South Webster’s back line held true.

“Our defense was challenged several times by their forwards as they counter-attacked, but they held up well,” Claxon said.

South Webster out-shot the Pioneers 24-14 on the afternoon. Keeper Trevor Coriell recorded six saves for the Jeeps.

South Webster takes the field again on Thursday, when they host New Boston in an SOC I match.
