Maxine Ruby, 72

Wilma Maxine Ruby, 72, of Rubyville, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at SOMC Hospice. Born March 10, 1940, in Scioto County; a daughter of the late William and Nelia Boggs Chandler, she was a homemaker and attended Candy Run Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gordon Ruby; one son, Greg Ruby of Eden Park; one daughter, Teresa Ruby of Rubyville; two grandchildren, Jared Ruby and Alex Ruby; four brothers, Cecil Chandler, Howard Chandler, Homer Chandler, Clarence Chandler; one sister, Darlene Clevenger; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Susan Ruby, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Chandler, Carl Chandler, and three sisters, Gertrude Pyles, Garnet Pack and Pauline Freauf. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral in Minford with Rev. Major Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at Rosemount Cemetery in Rosemount. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
