Lucille Lukemire, 85

Lucille (Mike) Lukemire, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at age 85. She was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 16, 1927, a daughter of the late Orville J. Ellis and Grace Brown Ellis.

Lucille was a Portsmouth High School graduate; a former co-owner of the H. Leet Lumber Company; and was a member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church for many years.

She is survived by a son, William B. (Sheila) Lukemire, Jr. of Wheelersburg, Ohio; a grandson, Andrew Kellemeyer of Otway, Ohio; two granddaughters, Metessa Bush of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Rachel (Nathan) Parkison of Lacey, Washington; six great-granddaughters, Kadie M. (Jeremy) Lancaster of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Hannah and Halli Kellemeyer (twins) of Otway, Ohio; Adrianna, Mattea, and Jenaya Bush of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and two great-grandsons, Randy (Jay) Paul (Diana) Monteith, Jr. of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and Tyler Parkison of Lacey, Washington; five great-great-grandchildren, Ashton, Laiken, Landon and Addison Lancaster of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Joanna Monteith of Otway, Ohio; a nephew, William (Becky) Curnutte of West Portsmouth, Ohio; and a great-niece, Kyla Curnutte of West Portsmouth, Ohio.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William B. Lukemire, whom she married on Oct. 7, 1955, in Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a daughter, Donna J. Kellemeyer; a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Monteith; and a sister, Doris (Ellis) Bender.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at All Saints Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Sally Schisler and Reverend Deacon Richard (Dick) Schisler officiating. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery in Buena Vista, Ohio. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, at F. C. Daehler Mortuary in Portsmouth.
