Mary Griffin, 91

Mary Louise Francia Griffin, 91, of Fairborn, Ohio, formerly of Portsmouth, died Friday, Feb.15, 2013, at Dayspring Health Care Center in Fairborn. She was born Sept. 14, 1921, at Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Phillip and Dena Zappa Francia. She was retired from Kenner Toy Factory and a former member of St Mary Catholic Church in

Portsmouth. Surviving are one son Joseph (Kathy) Griffin of Fairborn, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, one sister Catherine Boman of Livonia, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Mary Lou Cotterel, eight brothers, and five sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m.Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Adam Streitenberger officiating Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at MELCHER FUNERAL HOME from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Melcher Funeral Home.
