Ellis Ison, 95
Ellis B. Ison, 95 of South Shore, Ky. died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
He was born May 15, 1917, in Newcombe, Ky. (Elliott Co.), to the late John A. Ison and Pricy Stephens Ison.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Della Eggenspiller Ison.
Mr. Ison was a retired Pipefitter from Local #248 of Ashland, Ky. He is survived by a son, Ben (Rometta) Ison of Crestwood, Ky., a daughter, Anna (Mark) Huffman of Wheelersburg, Ohio, four grandchildren; Dan Ison, Kellie Fields, Misty Brough and Aaron Huffman, eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Daisy Stephens.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Gene Ison, two sisters; Ethel Keaton and Bessie Cook and three brothers; Earl, Ben and Emery Ison.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Morton Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky. with Tom Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Ison Cemetery in Newcombe, Ky. Friends may call for visitation on Friday from 6 to 8 pm. at the funeral home.
