Alma Brewer, 79

Alma Jane Brewer, 79, of Mansfield, formerly of Lucasville, died unexpectedly, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Mansfield Med Central Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1933, in Glenwood, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert Waskey and Octavia Lykins Lambert.

Alma was a retired information technologist for the Ohio Department of Transportation, former employee of Bauer’s Market and Splash N Go Car Wash and Laundromat, and a 1951 Gallia County High School graduate. She was also a 50 year member of the Beacon Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Earleen (Jack) Davis of Mansfield; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Brewer, July 13, 1986; her son Robert E. “Bobby” Brewer; one great grandson; two brothers, James Lykins and Peter Edmonds; and her sister Dorothy.

Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in Vinton Memorial Cemetery in Gallia County, Ohio, with Larry Parks officiating. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
