Opal Mills, 85

Opal Marie Lyons Mills, 85, of South Shore, Ky., passed away, Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center in South Shore, Ky. She was born in South Shore, Ky.; a daughter of the late Arnold Lyons and Elizabeth Leadingham Lyons.

She was a retired Braider for the former Mitchellace Co. of Portsmouth, and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two sons, Estill “Wanda” Eugene Mills of Ashland, Ky., Ralph A. Mills of West Portsmouth, and one daughter, Janine “Joe” Cassidy of West Portsmouth, two brothers, Luther “Ruth” Lyons and Paul Lyons, both of South Shore, Ky., three sisters, Nellie Fisher of New Boston, Mary Culberhouse of Cummings, Ga. and Beulah Wilber of South Shore, Ky., grandchildren, Trinka Cavins, Kyla Shepherd, Amy Wellman, Davida Flau and Johnny Smith , great grandchildren, Denny and Josh Jones, Danielle Hannah, Garret Carr, Layne and Lauren Wellman, Brittany, Katelan and Ashlynn Pfau and Emleight Smith.

Funeral services Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, with Calvin Ray Evans and Brian Baer, officiating. Burial in Lyons Cemetery on Beauty Ridge, South Shore, Ky.

Friends may call at the Roberson Funral Home Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
