Tim Watts 64

Tim Watts, 64, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his residence. He was born May 20, 1948, in Wayne County, W.Va. to the late Taylor Watts and Geraldine Stiltner Watts. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a former crane operator for American Car and Foundry and a member of the United Steel Worker of America.

He is survived by his wife, Nita Fitzwater Watts whom he married Oct. 29, 1975, in Wise, Va. Also surviving are three brothers, Tony (Slena) Watts, Douglas (Mary) Watts and Taylor Jr. (Geraldine) Watts, five sisters, Hester (Millard) Adkins, Maxine (Charles) Thompson, Rainelle Elliott, Joyce Pickett and Loretta Kirk and three granddaughters, Heather Chapman Taylor, Alexis Warren and Jennah Warren.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Chapman Warren and a son, Michael Chapman.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Reverend Charles Shields and Reverend Perry Prosch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from noon until 1 p.m. The will be military graveside services conducted by James Dickey American Legion Post No. 23. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations by made to Community Hospice of Ashland.
