Boyce Jordan, 73
Boyce Aubrey Jordan, 73, of Carter County, Ky, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Jordan was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Maloneton, Ky.;, a son of the late Fred Jordan and Lora Claxon Wheeler. He was a member of the Painters Union Local 55 in Portsmouth. He loved to watch football and basketball.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Boyce Jordan Jr., and one brother Paris Jordan.
He is survived by two daughters Ramona (Ron) Aldridge of Sciotoville, Ohio, Tammy Hammond of South Webster, Ohio, one brother Fred Jordan of Mansfield, Ohio, one sister Drucilla Foote of Inster, Mich., three grandsons Larry Skaggs of Metropolis, IL, Nick Aldridge of Metropolis, IL, and Boyce Lee Jordan of West Ports, Ohio, three granddaughters Mary Jo Toland of South Webster, Ohio, Mykal Piguet of South Webster, Ohio, Hollie Jordan of West Ports, Ohio, four great-grandchildren Arianna Colton and Brailey Robbie Jr, and a special friend Mary Stone.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by Pastor Mike Wilder. Burial will be in the Claxon-Smith Cemetery, Argillite, Ky. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
