Bertha Sartin, 88

Bertha J. Evans Sartin, 88, of Columbus, Ohio, a former resident of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 in Manor at Whitehall, Columbus, Ohio. She was born at St. Paul, Kentucky, April 17, 1924; a daughter of the late James Thomas Evans and Millie Wright Evans.

Preceded in death by her husband Austin Sartin in 1988, and a daughter Jonda Montgomery, and a son James Edward Evans, also several brothers and sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Gail Sartin Queen of Columbus and Martha Sartin Everett of Englewood, Fla., one son Gregory Sartin of Paris, Ky., three sisters Ella Mae Chambers and Judy Howard both of Detroit, Mich., and Nancy Maddix of South Portsmouth, Ky., five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the Roberson Funeral, with Rev. Norman Potter, officiating. Burial in Greene Cemetery, St. Paul, Ky.

Friends may all at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
