Alice Jordan, 90

Alice Avanelle Jordan, 90, of McDermott, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at her residence.

She was born April 27, 1922, in Sciotoville; a daughter of the late Owen and Hazel Hilt Allard.

Alice was a retired employee of Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott, a homemaker, and a Portsmouth East High School graduate.

She is survived by five daughters Betty Fyffe of Galena, Patty Bartee of McDermott, Carol (Jerry) Hiles of McDermott, Cathy (Rodney) Crabtree of Lucasville, and Beverly Baker of New Boston; two sons James (Shirley) Jordan and Donald (Rhonda) Jordan both of McDermott; four generations of grandchildren; and one sister Rose Allard of Pueblo, Colorado.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Henry Jordan, Dec. 16, 1991; three sons, Henry, Owen, and Fred Jordan; two daughters Opal Cantrell and Dorothy Boldman; four brothers, Robert, Bill, Lloyd, and Raymond Allard; five sisters, Clara Jean and Sharon Allard, Helen Kazee, Doris Carver, and Nellie Allard.

Graveside services will be conducted at noon, Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, in Scioto Burial Park with Bob Davis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
