Doris Nickells, 75

Doris Nickells, 75, formerly of Lucasville, died, Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at the Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born May 11, 1937, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Willard and Carrie Hartley Burton. Doris is survived by a son, Keith Nickells of Minford; a brother, James Burton of Minford; two sisters, Maxine Howell and Dorothy Horne both of Columbus; and four grandchildren, Leita Jo Biass, Nathan, Trenton, and Hailey Davidson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Nickells; and a daughter, Karen Davidson. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Junior Wiley officiating. Burial will be at Lucasville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. and from 10-11 a.m. on Friday at D.W.
