Alice Adkins, 66

Alice Marie Adkins, 66 of Lucasville, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Lucasville a daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys Phipps Adkins.

Alice was a homemaker and a 1965 Valley High School graduate. She was a member of the Eastern Homemakers Club, attended Community Bible Church, and loved attending the Scioto County Fair.

She is survived by two brothers Don (Cheryl) Adkins of Clarktown, and Ronnie (Rita) Adkins of Lucasville; one sister Wanda (Gene) Elliott of Lucasville; sister-in-law Vicki Adkins; brother-in-law Warren Stephens; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael Adkins; two sisters Judy Stephens and Elizabeth “Deb” Bradshaw; and a nephew Terry Stephens.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with nephew Rod Brower officiating. Burial will follow in Lucasville Cemetery. Friends may call 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday and an hour before the service at the funeral home Monday.
